For the experienced swimmer, training intensifies and evolves throughout the competitive swim season. Equal emphasis is given to training in all four strokes. Technique continues to be the primary emphasis, with stroke and skill mastery as the consistent focus. The amount and intensity of the training increases throughout the competition season with consistency and effort as fundamental objectives to success. Goal setting, personal responsibility, leadership, and teamwork skills are taught. Swimmers can expect to race all events; the primary focus will be IM training. A scheduled, weekly dryland routine complements training. Swimmers are encouraged to attend all practices offered, 4 times per week.
